About the Event

Avoid  burnout and rejuvenate your mind and body in a guided Yoga Nidra  (sleep) class led by Pooja Mamadapalli, RYT 500 and MSc in Pscyhology. Yoga Nidra classes facilitate deep relaxation of the mind and  body through the practice of stillness. Pooja will take you through a  specific series of guided meditations to lull your body into a state of  deep relaxation while your mind remains fully awake. No experience necessary. Bring a mat and wear something comfortable. No movement is involved, just pure R&R. 

Intention: Deep rest and rejuvenation, better sleep, and calm the nervous system 

Time: 7:30-8:15PM

By Donation: Give What You Can or Come as our Guest

All classes are donation-based to make it accessible for anyone who'd like to try (normally our pop-up worksops are $20-25). All donations contribute to the work we do including the volunteer programs with partner non-profits we have in the community. The space is a courtesy of MANA COMMON.

Please bring a mat and RSPV in advance online.

About Pooja Mamadapalli

Pooja is a 500-hour yoga educator and private teacher with a Master's in Psychology from Bangalore, India.

"My mission is to re-integrate yoga into yoga, in the west! My approach to Yoga is one of care, affection, and encouragement towards the body and soul that practice it. I believe that practice is the art of reaching for new possibilities, rather than reaching for perfection. Hence, I believe that a beginner and an expert can benefit equally from Yogasana, as long as their practice remains faithful. I  completed my 200 hour and 300 hour teachers training in Hatha Yoga with  A1000Yoga Academy in Bangalore, India. I also have completed my pre and postnatal yoga from the same academy. My expertise is in asana,  pranayama, chanting, meditation, cleansing practices, yoga nidra (sleep  yoga), yoga philosophy and basics of Ayurveda. In my sessions, I try to identify the needs and current abilities of each individual and provide  tailored instructions. I strive to share my knowledge of Yoga as  unconditionally and openly as my masters before me."

For Mental Health Awareness month, Cafe Namaste is offering  complimentary yoga classes and workshops in partnership with MANA IMPACT in downtown Miami for the month of May. Yoga is a holistic system that offers benefits to the mind, body, and spirit. Its effects can be  profound, not just in the body, but as a path for personal growth and study of the self. Join Sam Reynolds, founder of Cafe Namaste, for classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with special workshops led by Yoga Educator and Master Teacher, Pooja Mamadapalli. All classes are donation-based to make it accessible for anyone who'd like to try. Please bring a mat and RSPV in advance online.
