Miami, July 25, 2021: From 7 volunteers to 20, the Cafe Namaste community went back to Opa Locka to help clear the way for new vegetables to be grown in partnership with Health in the Hood, a local Miami non-profit with a mission to end food insecurity. We put on our gloves and spent two hours weeding, which shaved off weeks worth of work.
Our monthly volunteer meetups aim to connect our community in service, by giving of one’s self for a common purpose, which is to help others thrive.
